During our initial meeting, Paula will discuss your project in detail and gain insight about you, your style and lifestyle. By the end of the meeting, we will have a comprehensive picture of how you see yourself in your home and we would have seen your favourite possessions, colour scheme ideas, or your magazine tear sheets if you have some. We will also discuss your timescale, budget and contractors.
We follow this meeting with our Initial Proposal and after this is accepted, concepts will begin being prepared. These will include options for plans and elevations, colour schemes, furniture layouts window treatments and surface finishes. At this stage outline costs will be given along with a brief Schedule of Works.
When the final design is agreed we will begin specifying the exact detail of every item and schedule them into the project alongside the contractor. A by-room cost outline is submitted for final approval. This stage is followed by the procurement of these items.
Here we have the benefit of securing much of the furniture, finishings, kitchen, bathrooms, midcentury and antiques at our trade discounts ― we administer a procurement fee for this service to liaise with suppliers, manage lead-times, delivery and installation. Decorative vintage items require careful procurement and installation and this is carried out within this fee.
We ensure regular meetings are made with your contractors on-site to ensure the high standard of workmanship is maintained and any issues are dealt with efficiently. Often this is a long process, so we ensure this stage carries the minimum amount of anxiety.
When your home is nearing completion, with furniture items awaiting delivery, we will co-ordinate the styling of the rooms and ensure all the items ordered are positioned carefully in thoroughly cleaned rooms. Your possessions are positioned along with suggested additional smaller items & artwork that will enhance a rooms design.
Final handover is the last stage of our turn-key design service.
